Kaydon HS Slewing Ring Bearings

The internal structure of the HS series slewing ring bearings is characterized by a rectangular cross-section with deep groove gothic arch raceways and maximum ball complement. This unique design creates a four-point contact configuration, ensuring exceptional moment, thrust, and radial load capacities.

While both the HS and RK series share the same pinion, gear, and race core hardness, the HS slewing ring boasts reduced clearance and rectangular sections, resulting in higher capacity, enhanced stiffness, and reduced movement compared to the RK series. The HS bearings are available in sizes ranging from 20″ to 47″ (500 mm to 1,200 mm) outer diameter, featuring a standard cross-section. Configurations include non-geared and internally geared (with fittings on the outer diameter), as well as externally geared (fittings on the inner diameter). The gears are Involute Stub designs with 20° pressure angles, manufactured to AGMA Class Q5 quality, and allowing for a .015″ to .025″ allowance for backlash.

HS series slewing ring bearings are equipped with two fittings for lubrication, placed 180° apart. Geared races have tapped holes, while non-geared races have through holes. Additionally, all HS bearings come with integral seals designed to protect against contamination.
